With your machines configured and ready to run, it's time to release them from the lead release grid in the Cloud.

Open the form you wish to release leads for and click the lead release tab... this article focuses on all the tools found on this page.

Lead Release Grid Overview

This flavour of the lead grid has some extra functionality to assist you in releasing your leads, most notably;

  • an overview showing the current status of the leads
  • a status icon for each row with the ability to drill down and see release history for a lead
  • more advanced filtering functionality

Releasing Leads - the happy path 😀

Once you've tidied your data and are happy to begin releasing your leads, simply select the rows you wish to release and click the release button in the toolbar. (see video clip below)
The leads will be released to the integration engine which will then run the leads through any machines configured to run for this form. Once the leads have been processed the overview counts will update accordingly.

🔒Locking Leads

If there are some leads you know you don't want to release (or release again), you can lock them.  To lock leads, select the rows you wish to lock and then click the padlock button in the toolbar.  Locked leads cannot be released without being unlocked first and then released. Continuing our example from above we'll lock the 3 leads we just released.

🚫Handling Errors - going off piste!

There are numerous reasons why a lead might fail to make its way through to your connected system.  Errors can range from field level validation, account authentication errors, and just about everything in between.  To help you troubleshoot, Zuant makes a record of any error responses it receives when attempting to push the lead to the third party.

In the example below, we will delete the email field for a lead (which is a required field in our Eloqua test account) and then try releasing it.

This will trigger an error response from Eloqua which will be reflected in the UI.  We can inspect the error info by clicking on the lead status button in the grid.

Once you've cleared the error(s) and are ready to give the lead another go, just select the lead and click the release button again.  The system will recognise this lead has been pushed before and will prompt you to confirm your action.

🔎Filtering the grid

You can filter the grid using the free form text input which is really handy for narrowing your grid down to just the leads you wish to release.  i.e. you only want to release leads for Canada.  The accompanying buttons to the side help you to filter the grid based on the lead status.

↩️Lead Release History

A complete history of integration activity is available for each lead. Click the lead status icon to open the history dialog.  It's in here that you will see the success/error messages returned from the 3rd party system.

🍿All together now!

For the grand finale we'll release 100 leads and watch the magic unfold!
